Why We Exist
Caring for caregivers—because every helping hand deserves one in return
At CAREGIVING AND YOU, everything we do is rooted in the belief that caregivers matter. This section shares the heart of our organization—our mission, our long-term vision, and the real-world impact we’re making in caregivers’ lives every day.

Our Mission
At CAREGIVING AND YOU, our mission is to provide compassionate support, practical guidance, and life-enhancing resources to those who dedicate their lives to caring for others. We are committed to helping caregivers build resilience, find community, and navigate the challenges of caregiving without losing themselves in the process. Through education, emotional support, and advocacy, we empower caregivers to care confidently—while also caring for themselves.

Our Vision
We envision a future where no caregiver feels alone or overwhelmed. In our ideal world, caregivers are equipped with the knowledge they need, the emotional strength they deserve, and the community they crave. We aim to shift the culture around caregiving—elevating it, valuing it, and making sure that those who care are never left behind.

Our Impact
Changing lives by caring for those who care
Every day, we are making a difference in the lives of caregivers across the Bronx and beyond. Whether it’s through our workshops, one-on-one support sessions, or online resources, we help reduce stress, prevent burnout, and bring hope to those who need it most. By centering the caregiver experience, we’re not just offering help—we’re building a movement of empathy, empowerment, and lasting change.
Because Caregivers Deserve Support Too
“A gentle reminder of your purpose and who you serve”

At the Heart of Every Caregiver’s Journey
Caring for the Caregivers
At CAREGIVING AND YOU, we believe that behind every cared-for individual is a caregiver who deserves care too.
Founded with compassion and purpose, our nonprofit organization is dedicated to supporting the often-overlooked heroes—family members, friends, and professionals who selflessly care for others every day. Whether you’re caring for an aging parent, a loved one with a disability, or someone facing chronic illness, we understand the emotional, physical, and mental toll caregiving can take.
We’re here to change that narrative.
Our organization provides education, emotional support, and community resources designed specifically for caregivers. From practical guides and workshops to peer-led support groups, we aim to equip caregivers with the knowledge and strength they need—not only to provide excellent care, but also to protect their own health and happiness.
We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive space where caregivers feel seen, heard, and supported. Because your well-being matters too.

Our Work
Practical Support, Emotional Strength, A Community That Cares
At CAREGIVING AND YOU, our work focuses on empowering caregivers through meaningful programs, education, and human connection. From hands-on workshops and mental health support to digital resources and peer communities, we provide the tools caregivers need to thrive—not just survive.

Educational Workshops
Our educational workshops are designed to empower caregivers with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate daily challenges with confidence. Covering topics like stress management, time organization, hands-on care techniques, and self-care strategies, these sessions blend expert insights with real-life advice. Whether you’re new to caregiving or years into your journey, our workshops provide practical tools in a supportive and understanding space.

Emotional Support Groups
Caregiving can be isolating—but you’re not alone. Our emotional support groups bring caregivers together to share experiences, exchange advice, and offer encouragement in a safe, judgment-free environment. Led by trained facilitators, these sessions foster a strong sense of connection, help reduce emotional strain, and remind caregivers that being vulnerable is a strength, not a weakness.

Resource Library
The CAREGIVING AND YOU Resource Library is your one-stop hub for reliable, caregiver-focused materials. From printable checklists and care plans to articles, videos, and guides on mental health, eldercare, and navigating healthcare systems—our library is constantly updated to meet the evolving needs of caregivers. Everything is curated to save you time, ease your stress, and support your caregiving journey with confidence.

Together, We Care Better
Because every caregiver deserves a hand to hold
Caregiving is one of the most selfless and challenging roles a person can take on. Whether it’s done quietly in the background or around the clock without pause, caregiving requires a level of emotional strength, compassion, and resilience that often goes unnoticed—and unsupported.
At CAREGIVING AND YOU, we are here to change that.
Our organization was born from the understanding that caregivers are the silent backbone of families, healthcare systems, and communities. They give their time, their hearts, and often their health for the sake of others. But in doing so, caregivers often lose sight of their own needs. Many feel overwhelmed, isolated, or invisible. That’s why our mission isn’t just about helping people care for others—it’s about helping them care for themselves.

“The emotional support group changed everything for me. I used to feel so alone and overwhelmed. Now, I have a circle of people who truly understand what I’m going through. CAREGIVING AND YOU helped me breathe again.”

Philip Ray
Daughter & Caregiver

“I spent years pouring into others without thinking about myself. CAREGIVING AND YOU helped me realize that my well-being is just as important. Their support helped me rediscover balance and peace.”

Darryl Lee
Mother & Full-Time Caregiver

“From legal advice to self-care tips, the workshops were practical and full of heart. It’s not just information—it’s encouragement. I finally feel more confident in how I support my partner.”

Tanisha Penrod
Caregiver for His Partner

“Connecting with other caregivers, especially in the Bronx, made all the difference. It’s one thing to care—it’s another to feel cared for. I’m grateful to be part of this amazing network.”
